Share a creation privately with family

Everything stays in your family until a grown-up chooses to share it. Sharing goes only to people you already invited and who already accepted, so there is no password to pass around. This guide covers sharing one creation, sharing more than one, and taking sharing back.

Share a creation when you save it

1. Save a creation

Save a new creation, including one with several parts.

2. Tap a name

Under Share with someone, tap an approved person's name. Tap more than one name to share with several viewers. For a longer list, search by name or move through the pages. Invite someone stays outside the list; a grown-up must approve a new invitation.

3. Wait for the confirmation

A check on a person’s avatar card means this creation is shared with them. A grown-up can tap the card to stop sharing and tap again to share again. While a send is waiting, the card says so. Swipe the sharing row sideways to see more people. Back to gallery and New creation stay visible at the bottom.

Share it later

Open the creation in the family gallery in grown-up mode, tap Share below it, and choose an approved viewer. Search by name or move through the pages when the list is long. Invite someone stays available outside the list, including when you have not invited anyone yet.

Who can share

A child can use the buttons on the saved screen for a creation they made or helped make. Inviting people, changing permissions, and stopping sharing stay with grown-ups. A child cannot send a family-only creation or bring back a share a grown-up stopped.

For a creation made together, each credited child's permission has to cover the person receiving it.

If a creation is still sending from this device, the buttons appear when that finishes. Guests, locked sessions, and Offline handoff do not offer sharing.

No one to share with yet?

Choose Invite someone from Family, a creation's sharing choices, or the saved creation screen. A grown-up must approve the invitation. All children start selected; change that selection if needed. Choose creations for the person to see when they join, choose All creations so far, or choose later. You can also turn on Share new creations too. Nothing is shared before acceptance. Little Binder sends a private invitation by email. Once the person accepts, the approved choices take effect. On the person's page in Family, you can choose a portrait from your device or Little Binder gallery. Save name and portrait keeps an independent copy. Leaving with unsaved edits offers Save and leave, Discard and leave, or Keep editing.

What viewers see

On grown-up Home, tap the bell beside the Little Binder logo to open reactions and replies. Open an activity card to revisit its creation or album. It moves into Seen for your account across devices. Opening a reply does not mark it as listened to.

A viewer opens Shared with you. The Little Binder logo returns to shared creations, and Settings sits beside the bell at the top. The What’s new button keeps its label and opens new creations a few at a time. For accounts with a family, Switch to my family is in the three-dot menu beside the bell. Captions and dates start on; their toggle saves the viewer's choice on this device. Beside it, Grid shows many creations at once and Large shows one at a time in its own shape. That choice is also saved on this device and applies to Shared with you, New for you, and shared albums. Account groups preferences, help, and families into collapsible sections. Viewers start with an email summary when something new arrives, and their first visit offers a short setup for language, then text size, then how they hear about new creations: Email me and In-app push, both selected until they save or change them. Push can be saved before installing the app; delivery still needs device permission. Later changes are in Settings. The tour shows a small stack of shared thumbnails, then one creation to try: tap to open it, press and hold to hear its voice note, and choose Grid or Large. It ends with a reaction and voice preview. Next stays in the tour and Done closes it. Viewers can open a creation, swipe left or right (or choose Previous creation or Next creation) to move through the others, hear the child's recorded name, send love, and leave or delete a voice reply. They can stop receiving from a family in Account and find Report something under Help. When more than one child appears in the creations you can view, choose one or more names under Child. Tap a name again to remove it, or choose Everyone. The filter includes creations made together and works in shared albums, New for you, and private notification collections. Search and voice-note filters work with the selected children.

Send a reaction

Yes. Open a shared creation and choose Send reaction. Tap a design to select and preview it, then send. Each design is one button with a clear selected state. Previews and received reactions play across the whole screen. The family can replay each person’s saved design by tapping their circular avatar at the top right of the creation. A symbol from their saved reaction appears over the avatar’s top-right corner. You can also choose Play reaction in Shared activity. Either action returns to the creation image before the animation starts. The avatar row scrolls sideways when more people react. The open creation checks for new reactions while active and refreshes on return to the app. Several reactions play one after another. Designs include Rocket ships, seasonal celebrations and sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball and tennis. With reduced motion, a few symbols gently fade in place. If a design becomes unavailable, choose another one. If no choices are available, Rain of hearts appears. Reactions already sent keep their original design.

Why do reactions look different with Reduce Motion?

Little Binder follows your device’s motion preference. With motion allowed, reaction symbols rain from the top of the screen to the bottom. With Reduce Motion on, a few symbols gently fade in place, and movement between creations is reduced. Sending, receiving and replaying work either way. First setup shows a short notice only when Reduce Motion is on. When Reduce Motion is on, family Settings and viewer Account show an explanation and a link to device settings in the installed app. On Android, the link opens Accessibility: look for Remove animations, often under Color and motion. On iPhone or iPad, it opens the app’s Settings page: return to the main Settings screen, then choose Accessibility, Motion, Reduce Motion. Websites cannot open these device settings directly, so browser users get directions. Choose whichever feels comfortable; changing the device setting can affect other apps too.

Stopping sharing

To end access to one creation, open its sharing again, choose Stop sharing, and confirm once. Or, on the creation, open Shared activity, tap the X beside the person, and confirm. This works for someone who gets everything automatically too: only that one creation stops, and it is never sent to them again unless you share it yourself. Putting a creation away also stops sharing it with everyone. To pause everything for one person, turn off their Sharing access in Family. To remove the relationship completely, choose Remove from sharing list.

Sharing more than one creation

Picking each creation is the default. For someone you would send everything to, a grown-up can open that person's page in Family and, after a grown-up unlock, choose one of two options.

Share new creations automatically sends each new creation as it is saved, starting from the moment you turn it on. Send everything from before is a separate one-time action: it shows exactly how many creations it would send, you confirm that count, and anything kept in the family or already stopped for that person stays that way. Neither one turns on the other, so you can use either one alone.

Each creation still gets its own record, so you can open any one later and choose Stop sharing for just that one.

Choosing which children they hear from

Open Family, choose the person, and look under Who may send to them? Every child is listed, including children added after the invitation. Tick a child to add them (this needs a grown-up unlock), or untick a child to stop sharing that child's new creations, including automatic sharing. What was already shared stays where it is. Each person keeps at least one child on their list; to stop everything, turn off their Sharing access instead.

Share a whole album

Open Albums, then the album, and choose Share this album. Pick someone you already share with. Before you confirm, you see how many creations they will get now, how many they already have, and how many stay in the family. Creations you marked family only, stopped sharing with that person, or made by a child who is not on their list stay private. The person will also see the album's name.

Anything you add later with Add creations is shared too, under the same rules, and the add screen says so before you save. They hear about the album once. In Shared creations it appears as one New album card, where they can send love, write a short note, or leave a voice reply. You can remove any of those under Love and replies.

To take creations out, open Album options (the three dots), choose Remove creations, select them, and confirm. They stay in your gallery. Stop sharing with Grandma takes the album away from her. Creations she already has stay with her until you use Stop sharing on each one. Delete album is also in Album options. Deleting a shared album removes the love, notes, and voice replies left on it.

Quick tips

Nothing is sent until you choose. A creation stays in the family by default.

Not sure yet? Share one creation first, then see what the viewer sees.

You can always stop sharing a single creation without touching the rest.
